Born and raised in Vancouver BC, Sue ventured to the U.S. for university. She attended the University of Redlands for 3 yrs before moving to Seattle and graduating from University of Puget Sound with a degree in Kinesiology. It was during her final years at UPS that Sue started in the fitness industry. She owned an aerobics only studio in downtown Kirkland before working for larger athletic clubs in the area. Sue began working for Columbia Athletic Clubs at the Issaquah and Pine Lake locations in both management and membership. Sue then took a few years away and returned to her ‘home’ at CAC as GM of Juanita Bay.

Whether it is golf, tennis or triathlons Sue has always been involved in sports. In fact, she was Tri NW #1 Overall Masters Triathlete in 2004. She loves to stay active and workout so most likely you will see her in a group ex class or working out herself. Days off are spent with her best friends; her husband or grown daughter.

Amelia Ada

Amelia was born and raised on Vashon Island, WA. She spent 5 years in the San Francisco area where she started her career in marketing and retail management and has continued in that field since moving back to Seattle. Amelia has always had a love for fitness, sports and the great outdoors. Skiing is a huge part of her life, as well as her love for rowing which she did at a competitive level in high school. She spends her free time in the gym, training for her next marathon and hiking with her dog, Noelle. Amelia is a certified holistic health coach that specializes in organic and plant based lifestyles, and is currently working on earning her NASM certification to become a personal trainer.

Dusko Andreic

Tennis Director

Dusko is Pine Lake’s most experienced Tennis Pro and is USPTA 1 certified. His expertise is a thorough analysis and realistic assessment of each student’s skill level. This is followed by a step-by-step plan on how to achieve the next level of play, with emphasis on detailed stroke production, as well as a mental aspect of the tennis game. Dusko has been a tennis professional for 15 years prior to becoming Tennis director of Columbia Athletic Clubs-Pine Lake. He has been the Tennis Director at Pine Lake for the past three years and has coached many top ranked Washington 3A and 4A juniors.

Katy Stuart

Katy has been a leader in the group exercise industry for many years. She is certified to teach Les Mills formats BODYPUMP, BODYSTEP, BODYATTACK, CORE, and BODYBALANCE, plus is an ACE Group Fitness Instructor. Katy is also a National Trainer, Assessor, and Presenter for Les Mills and trains and evaluates new instructors during their certification process. She has a keen eye for talent, safety, form, and knows how to both motivate and challenge our members. Katy lives local with her husband and 2 children and is an avid outdoor enthusiast, spending her free time hiking, swimming, and skiing. She has a Bachelor’s of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Wildlife Science from the University of Washington and is one of Washington State’s experts on ecology and conservation of the western gray squirrel. Along with her infectious smile, Katy’s experience as a program manager for Green River College and outdoor instructor at REI blends well with her role as Group Exercise Director.

Margarita Farrell

Margarita, or Maggie as the children call her, is our Kids Club Lead/Supervisor and has been with Pine Lake Club almost 5 years. She comes to us from Australia, the land of down-under and hot sun, and has been living and loving in Seattle for 7 1/2 years. Prior to working with Children her career was 18 years with an Australian airline. However, post 9/11 and the airline collapse, she was lucky enough to be able to revert to her passion – children. Margarita is married with a son, stepdaughter and stepson, and lives on the plateau.

Camila Bomfim

Originally from Brazil, Camila moved to the U.S over 20 years ago. She began her career in accounting, transitioned to banking, and later found her passion in childcare and education. Camila holds a Child Development Associate credential and served as a program director for six years. Outside of work, she cherishes time with her family and finds balance through yoga.

Taylor Scarvie

A Seattle native, Taylor has competed in a variety of sports his entire life. He was a collegiate baseball player at Green River College before transferring to play three more years at the University of Puget Sound. This is where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and then added a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through NSCA. While Taylor has experience training a wide variety of individuals, his philosophy is about becoming an expert at the basics and individualizing a program towards a client’s specific needs and goals. He believes ‘we have to walk before we can run. Technique and exercise execution is everything. If you are not performing an exercise properly then the intended purpose of the exercise is missed’. Whether it is sports performance or playing with kids, Taylor believes that executing a proper exercise program can benefit any individual.

Outside of the gym, Taylor enjoys staying active with activities like golf, snowboarding, and paddle boarding. He is also a big Seattle sports fan so stop by to talk about the Mariners and Seahawks!

Bella Black

Aquatics Director

Bella was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She lived in Georgia for 21 years before moving to Redmond, Wa. Bella swam competitively for 15 years, and swam State sectionals twice. While in Georgia Bella helped coordinate a club swim team with her mother for 6 years as well as developed a learn-to-swim program for the same club team. Thereafter Bella became a professional swim instructor at Atlanta Swim Academy where she studied the American Red cross learn-to-swim program and helped develop her first responder skills. In 2023 Bella earned her Lifeguard Instructor certificate and is currently working on getting her Certified Pool Operator certification and Recreation Administration degree.

In her free time Bella is often spending time with her family and Fiance` exploring the PNW or swimming. Bella believes that swimming is one of the most important skills anyone can have and strives to continue her water safety outreach within the community!

Originally from Southern California, Kim started working as a Trainer at Columbia Athletic Clubs in Oct. of 2001. She has several certifications that she brings with her such as, ACE-CPT and NSCA-CPT. Kim has many passions such as running, indoor and outdoor cycling, hiking and kayaking. She’s also very passionate about the fitness industry and loves to see her clients achieve their goals. Along with helping her clients, she has many goals herself. She has completed three 70.3 triathlons including many half-marathons. Kim will empower you to achieve the goals that you have been striving to achieve.

Nikki Brown

Nikki has been an athlete all of her life, competing in a variety of sports. She was a collegiate ski racer and earned her B.S. in Exercise Science from USC. Nikki is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA and has trained athletes of all levels, including two national champions. She also holds the ACSM-CEP certification and is an Indoor Cycling instructor. Nikki provides individualized programs for all of her clients and has experience with injury re-hab, trigger point therapy, HIIT, and speed and agility training. Nikki believes that your work in the gym is essential preparation for the life you want to lead. Outside the gym she enjoys backcountry skiing, hiking, running, and playing golf.

Tyler Eiguren

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Tyler has a passion for sports, fitness, and the outdoors. From elementary school through high school, Tyler was involved with various sports but specialized in basketball and baseball. During High School, Tyler coached Eastside Catholic youth basketball for 6th and 8th graders, sparking an interest in developing youth athletes. While in college, Tyler’s interests evolved to include fitness and weightlifting, a lifelong learner Tyler continues to learn and apply cutting edge sport science to optimize his training. Tyler’s current fitness goals are hypertrophy (Muscle Mass Development) and strength training. Tyler is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT). He specializes in working with youth and individuals looking to improve their strength and conditioning.

Nora is a lifelong runner who enjoys almost any outdoor activity, especially hiking, camping, running, and biking. She is ACSM-HFS certified. In her five plus years at CAC-Pine Lake, she has inspired many members to pursue healthier lifestyles. Nora believes that nothing happens without proper planning: if you fail to plan, then you can plan to fail. She understands the challenges involved in trying to balance work, family, and fitness, but knows that with planning and a little inspiration, anything is possible!

Christine McKinsey

Christine McKinsey has been a Group Exercise instructor at CAC Pine Lake since 2006. If you have ever taken one of her classes, you may have noticed her interest in the connection between proper form and the effectiveness of any given exercise, regardless of the format (yoga/Pilates, strength or cardio). Recently Christine took the opportunity to expand her training and knowledge into the area of Personal Training. She holds certifications from NASM as a Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist. As a CES, she uses comprehensive assessments to help identify potential muscle imbalances and movement impairments to develop a training plan that is designed to optimize movement quality using “Corrective Exercise Programming.” She believes that more efficient movement can lead to enhanced athletic performance, injury resistance and effective recovery. She has personally benefitted from these techniques and looks forward to sharing them with clients to help them achieve their fitness goals.
